Caroline's first haircut was on a very expensive American Girl doll at age 9 and in retrospect, some form of punishment would have been justified, but none came down because it was a beautifully executed graduated bob (sorry Mom).
A career in hair only dawned on her much later after an English degree, languishing as an admin, and traversing a quarter-life crisis which led her back to the skills she'd honed all along. Upon completion of an intensive two year apprenticeship at a top NYC salon she spent eight years there maintaining an expansive and loyal clientele in addition to styling hair for weddings from Maine to Washington, DC before hearing the siren song of LA and relocating in 2017.
Caroline is as inspired by a platinum double process as she is by achieving perfect gray coverage, and as gratified by a dramatic chop as by your quarterly 1" trim. Her particular expertise is in cutting and coloring hair to best serve you when you're on your own. She loves to teach and empower her clients to use the right products and styling tools themselves.
In her free time Caroline loves hiking, baking bread, reading The New Yorker, frequenting comedy shows, serenading her cat on her wireless karaoke mic, and fretting pointlessly over historical inaccuracies of the hair in period dramas.
