Lydia was introduced to the hair industry while working on the set of Insidious and has been licensed since 2011. She followed the advice of her mentors and received her license and training from the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica. Lydia then pursued her interest in advanced color theory along side Wella's top artists and design team members Sonya Dove, Aubery Loots, Anna Vaul-Holaday. She works in tandem on set and behind the chair as a colorist, and dry-cut specialist.
Lydia particularly enjoys dry-cuts because it gives her the space and capability to sculpt a cut that really works for her clients lifestyle. She says “I’m all about wake and ware hair.”
Additionally, she loves bleach and tones, it's incredible to see dramatic transitions of colors and hues.
When she's outside the salon, Lydia pursues a life in the music scene. She finds a lot of satisfaction on stage and playing bass. Anything artistic and travel oriented will typically draw her attention.
